The 5th National AIOA Conference will be hosted by Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, a Centre of Excellence in Ophthalmology at Guwahati, from 7th to 9th November 2025. We are delighted to welcome you to this prestigious gathering of ophthalmic anaesthesiologists, surgeons, and clinicians from across the nation and beyond.

In recent years, Ophthalmology has advanced by leaps and bounds and speciality surgeries pertaining to paediatric ophthalmology, oculoplasty, trauma, strabismus, glaucoma and corneal as well as retinal cases are being routinely conducted as day care surgeries. Ophthalmic anaesthesia techniques have kept pace with the requirement of these surgeries and has emerged as a new subspeciality in anaesthesia.

The attendees to this conference will benefit from an engaging scientific program featuring workshops, expert lectures, and collaborative discussions. We look forward to sharing our experiences, learning from each other, and adopting best practices in shaping the future of ophthalmic anaesthesia.
